Mini Minors Baseball

Mini Minors is the first step transitioning players from Tee-Ball towards the Minors division. Learning basic skills of the game remains the primary goal.

There is still a great deal of hands-on instruction during the game. During defensive play, coaches will remain on the field to give instruction. During offensive play, a coach will pitch to batters, as well as a stationary tee may be used

Who can play?

What is included?

  • A hat and t-shirt style jersey that players get to keep!
  • A team/individual photo
  • Use of basic team playing equipment (bats, catchers gear, balls)

What is needed?

  • Jock/Jill (groin protection)
  • Glove
  • A batting helmet
  • Neutral coloured athletic pants (grey baseball pants preferred)

Parent Expectations

Parents are expected to help with the following:

  • Practice drills and activities
  • Field setup and takedown for games and practices
  • Helping the coach: Dugout manager, base coach or participate in practice drills

The team manager will ask for volunteers and set up a parent volunteer schedule.

Team Schedule

Games:

  • One game per week on Sundays, played against other National Mini Minors teams.

Practices:

  • 1 per week on Wednesday or Thursday
