Tournaments

Little League District 7 (Greater Victoria) offers house ball and competitive post season tournaments at the minors and majors baseball levels. Tournament ball is often the most memorable part of a player’s Little League experience.

House Ball Tournaments

Rookie Minors Baseball

  • Doug Hudlin Memorial Tournament

Minors Baseball

  • Victoria Day Tournament
    • House minors teams are invited to participate in a fun tournament hosted by Hampton Little League
    • Held during the May long weekend. Games can begin on Friday and run through to Monday.
  • City Minors Tournament
    • National’s minors teams enter a playoff at the end of the regular season and the winning team goes on to play games against the winning team from each of the other Little League parks
    • Held at one of the six Little League parks in Greater Victoria during the 3rd week of June

Majors Baseball

  • Victoria Day Tournament
    • House majors teams are invited to participate in a fun tournament hosted by Beacon Hill Little League
    • Held during the May long weekend. Games can begin on Friday and run through to Monday.

Post Season Tournaments

Each year, Little League provides an opportunity for players who wish to play in a more competitive environment, commonly known as the post season or “All Stars”. There are “Selects” teams which are usually single age teams that cross between House and Competitive.

If your child is interested in playing on a team, there is a higher commitment and the expectation is they will be available for all games and practices. Teams are structured based on age and ability.

9-10 District 7 Tournament

  • Held at one of the six Little League parks in Greater Victoria during the 2nd week of July 
  • Open to players who are league age 9 or 1o and who played on a minors or majors team during the regular season
  • Players must have played in 60% of the regular season games
  • A selection process and practices begin before the end of the regular season
  • Players get a jersey and hat that they get to keep
  • The winner goes on to a Provincial Tournament

11-12 District 7 Tournament

  • Held at one of the six Little League parks in Greater Victoria during the 1st week of July (can start the last weekend of June depending on the calendar)
  • Open to players who are league age 11 or 12 and who played on a majors team during the regular season
  • Players must have played in 60% of their regular season games
  • A selection process and practices begin before the end of the regular season
  • Players get a jersey and hat that they get to keep
  • The winner goes on to a Provincial tournament, the winner of Provincials goes on to Canadians, and the winner of Canadians represents Canada at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA!

 

Select 11s

  • Held at one of the six Little League parks in Greater Victoria sometime between end of June and mid July
  • Open to players who are league age 11 and who played during the regular season
  • Players must have played in 60% of their regular season games
  • A selection process and practices begin before the end of the regular season
  • Players get a jersey and hat that they get to keep

Select 9s

  • Held at one of the six Little League parks in Greater Victoria sometime between end of June and mid July
  • Open to players who are league age 9 and who played during the regular season
  • Players must have played in 60% of their regular season games
  • A selection process and practices begin before the end of the regular season
  • Players get a jersey and hat that they get to keep
