No child is ever turned away for financial reasons, and families can access confidential registration support through KidSport Greater Victoria.
Registration will close March 1 for the Rookies, Minors and Majors divisions but will remain open until March 16th for the younger divisions (Blastball to Minis). We recommend registering as soon as possible as spaces are limited. The official spring season will begin after opening ceremonies on April 12th and run until mid/late-June. To determine league age please see the Little League Age Calculator.
If you have previously been a member of National Little League your catchment area would have already been verified, but if you’re unsure you can confirm your little league catchment area for either your home or school address with the Little League Finder Tool. If you have already been a member but no longer fall within our catchment boundary for either home or school, please let us know. If you have not been a member of National yet and do not fall within our catchment, we recommend you register at your catchment park.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for managers (head coaches), assistant coaches, and team coordinators for all ages, no experience necessary. The team coordinator is responsible for administrative logistics such as organizing team volunteers for each game, communicating with the parents, and managing the schedule on TeamSnap. This allows the managers/coaches time to focus on skill development and the game itself. If you are interested and able to volunteer for a managing/coaching or coordinating position, please indicate this on your registration under the volunteer options. We will then be in touch about next steps. We will hold a manager/coaches meeting, free clinic, and provide resources. The more we have the easier it is!
SCHEDULES
Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm/determine practice and game schedules until registration is complete as it depends on field approvals, how many kids register, how many teams we have, the schedule for interlock games (Rookies, Minors and Majors only) and most importantly how many people volunteered to manage and assistant coach. We have done our best to map out a schedule based on the assumptions above. Please see below for the details. We hope this will help you plan your spring activities.
Blastball (Ages 3-4): 1 session per week on Sunday mornings; session times are from 9:00 – 9:45 or 10:00 – 10:45am
T-Ball (Ages 4-6): 1 game per week on Saturday mornings; 1 weeknight practice, either Monday or Tuesday night from 5:00 – 6:00pm
Mini Minors (Ages 6-8): 1 game per week on Sunday mornings; 1 weeknight practice on Wednesday from 5:00 – 6:00pm
Rookie Minors (Ages 7-9): 1 to 2 game per week; 1-2 weeknight practices
Minors (Ages 8-10): 1 to 2 games per week; 2 weeknight practices
Majors (Ages 9-12): 2 games per week; 2 weeknight practices
FRIEND REQUESTS
Friend Requests are very popular, and we do our very best to accommodate them for Blastball through Mini Minors. Once you move into Rookie Minors, Minors and Majors, the teams are formed based on an assessment of skills and maturity level. National wants to ensure teams are balanced and kids are playing at a level to ensure safety and success. If possible, we will try to accommodate limited friend requests for Rookies but cannot accommodate friend requests for Minors and Majors.
ASSESSMENTS
Assessments are important for ages 7-12. This helps us balance teams to the best of our ability. We will contact those that registered in Rookies, Minors and Majors about assessments, all players must be assessed prior to being placed on a team roster. We are planning to hold assessments in early March.
SPONSORSHIPS
If you own a small business and are interested in sponsoring our club, please reach out to us by replying to this email. Sponsorship from local community organizations and businesses is critical to the success of our program. It helps us keep registration fees affordable, purchase essential equipment and uniforms, maintain our facilities, and meet ongoing operational expenses. We cannot operate without the support of our sponsors. More information can be found here on our sponsorship program.
