2023 Annual General Meeting This Friday Nov 24

Location: Cedar Hill Rec Centre – Art Room. 3220 Cedar Hill Rd.

This is a great opportunity to get involved and assist us with the growth and development of our park as we prepare for next season. Registration will open at 7:00 and the meeting will commence at 7:10. This year we are meeting in person and we will have door prizes – 1 free registration and National Swag. We will also provide pizza from Dominos and refreshments.

We will be meeting in one of the art rooms.

We require a quorum (made up of our parents) in order to submit gaming grant applications to receive financial support from our Provinces’ grant programs and to vote in our new Board members.

National Little League is 100% volunteer-run except for our cook in the concession. We are looking to fill a number of positions on the board including: Division Coordinators, Safety Coordinator, Coach Coordinator, Concession Manager(s), Volunteer Coordinators, uniform coordinator, scheduler, and registrar.

Fall Ball Registration Open

This program is for Rookie Minors, Minors and Majors. If your child played Mini Minors, Rookie Minors or Minors in the spring and may be moving to the next division in the spring of 2024, then why not give it a try in the fall. Fall ball is more relaxed which makes it perfect for trying something new. This season runs from September 5th until mid October. Short and sweet!

Please consider joining our Board as a member or a committee member.  See below for details. 

We are a growing club which involves a lot of planning. We meet once a month and then we divide up additional duties that arise before and during the season. We have some areas we would like to focus on to enhance our club and need help.  

Seeking New Board Members!

Where committees are handy: Committee members have the option to come to monthly meetings or just participate when/where they are needed.

Concession Members – Brainstorming, organizing for the season, coordinating/mentoring other volunteers, occasional shopping trips etc. 

Division Coordinators – Assist with creating plans for the overall experience for kids/parents/coaches, organize end of season jamborees. 

Coach Coordinators – Review and update or add to existing coach’s materials. Ideas on how to support coaches leading into and during the season. We are looking for a group that would like to assist with a plan to standardize our club’s approach to skill development. 

We are also looking for people that have skills and/or are interested in the following:

Scheduling – This is a big job in a short timeframe, so it’s nice to have a couple of people tackle it. It would be great, if you have experience or a passion for this kind of thing that could bring a fresh perspective. 

Building Lead – odd jobs, outsource things like gutter cleaning etc.

Equipment – Helps with inventory and ordering.

Uniforms – Bring forward ideas/ordering.
